Fund Tom’s Journey
Together we CAN make a difference
After spending time at Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool and seeing the amazing work all the staff do day and night we decided that if we could we would help.
We discovered that the hospital rely on a lot of donations to help it run – these donations go into the main children’s hospital and are not directly or spent directly on needs of the intensive care unit.
Through talking to staff and our own experiences with Tom we have found that Alder Hey are in need of bedding for babies and boys in particular. Each day and night the bedding is changed and it is always themed and matching, for example matching elephant sheets with a matching elephant blanket.
Nurses explained to us that they don’t have a lot of bedding and their budgets usually go to life saving equipment and machinery but they are in need of bright, feel good bedding and soft blankets for babies and children.
All of the money (excluding card processing fees) we raise will do directly to Alder Hey Intensive Care Unit and will be used to purchase much needed items that make babies and children feel comfortable and bring a warmth and a little home comfort to a hospital bed, helping make their journey in hospital as comfy and pleasant an experience as it can be.
We can’t do it alone!
So please, if you can, dig deep and help not only Tom but all babies and children on their journey at Alder Hey Intensive Care Unit.
A BIG HEART FELT THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
